Adriano Cirillo (*1951)
Adriano Cirillo was born in Bari, where he attended courses in Piano, Composition, Organ and Harpsichord at the “Niccolò Piccinni” Conservatory. At the suggestion and affectionate insistence of his teacher Nino Rota, he began teaching Main Piano, a chair he has held since 1975 at various Italian Conservatories.
At the same time, he has not neglected his artistic activity, attending advanced courses in Italy and abroad and performing as a soloist and in chamber ensembles founded and directed by him.
As a composer, he has achieved flattering successes with critics and the public.
Always interested in the rediscovery of authors of the past, he dedicates himself to the search for unpublished manuscripts, which he supervises for publication.
He is a member of the artistic commission of the International Choral Singing Competition “Seghizzi” in Gorizia.
