Classical Guitar Magazine (November 2011)
Johan Severin Svendsen was a Norwegian composer born in the 19th century who composed symphonies, concertos, chamber music, songs and a ballet amongst other works. Possibly his most famous work is his opus 26 originally for violin and orchestra, here transcribed in 1907 by Maria Rita Brondi who had just returned from her studies with Francisco Tarrega ... An absolute stunner for any higher-intermediate standard duo to have in their repertoire. This album is volume 2 of a publishing project by Orpheus Edizioni titled 'Maria Rita Brondi's Library' (edited by Maurizio Mazzoli) which is presenting music from her collection of handwritten scores and printed sheets. Strings Magazine (June 2011)
... The violin part remains in its original form with notation and markings unchanged ... useful fingerings are included in the guitar score. The edition contains two separate parts and a full score in large, clear type. (Mary Nemet)
Seicorde (gennaio-marzo 2011)
