The Consort Magazine (Summer 2019)
Cherici's anthology of music published by Petrucci (1466 -1539) in Italian tablature for six-course lute ‘in vieil ton’ (or 'Renaissance tuning') provides the lute player with a fine selection of early sixteenth -century music in a very clear print, free from page turns and well edited. ... There is much enjoyment to be had from Cherici's tastefully compiled anthology and, like all Ut Orpheus publications, it is a well presented and elegant volume, with the text in both Italian and English. I have no hesitation in recommending it to all luteplayers. (Wilfred Foxe)
