I have examined several titles by Italian publisher Ut Orpheus Edizioni and all are exemplary. So is this title, an urtext sample that retains the original version, supplemented by a number of added fingerings and courtesy accidentals, the latter shown in brackets. The fine editorial work was performed by Fabio Rizza. … The music itself, written in a Classical style, is excellent. … Speaking technically, all 4 Improvvisi take a traditional approach to the instrument and are performable by intermediate to advanced players.
