Bandoneonist, composer and arranger, Luis Caruana graduated in composition at the National University of Rosario and took specialization courses with masters such as Mauricio Kagel, Samuel Adler, Cristóbal Halffter, Manfred Trojahn, Francisco Kröpfl, Enrico Fubini and Leonardo Balada.
He has premiered several works in Argentina, Spain and the United States, and he has been awarded in some international composition competitions.
As a bandoneonist, he has been working intensively in contemporary music, specializing in electroacoustics and avant-garde tango. He currently directs his own company (Camerata Rea), which premiered the contemporary tango show “Mares”.
