Venicio Palumbo started playing the guitar self-taught at the age of 16. In the 70s, he explored the world of rock and jazz music. Later he dedicated himself to the study of the lute by participating in the Ancient music courses of the Cini Foundation in Venice with masters such as Hopkinson Smith and Nigel North. He played with the ancient music group called “Collegium Arniense” in the concert seasons of some of the most important Italian and European theaters, also performing incidental music in theatrical and film works (such as Il viaggio della sposa by Sergio Rubini, with music by Germano Mazzocchetti), participating in historical re-enactments and, in 1998, recording for the Well Music International the CD In Taberna, centered on Carmina Burana. In 2013 he published for Carisch the guitar transcriptions of thirty Cantigas de Santa Maria. Signorile, Giorgio Elegia d’autunno (Autumn Elegy) - Passaggi (Passages) for Guitar (2020)
