Andrea Basevi (*1957)

Andrea Basevi graduated in Choral Music and Composition. His masters are G. Bosco, B. Ferneyhough, L. Berio, S. Arom. He won several competitions on music games, children’s songs and fairy tales. He composed music for the theater, radio and cinema. He works with the poet Roberto Piumini in theater and publishing books of songs and fairy tales for children. He has composed works for young Zazie, Pinocchio and Peter Pan and libretto by Roberto Piumini Il circo d’Empoli, Il Malafiato, Il ragazzo col violino, I capelli del diavolo, I musicanti di Brema, Totò Sapore, Omi e Cic, In tasca a Blù. It is Artistic Director of Associazione Sant’ Ambrogio Musica and a member of the Associazione italiana Kodály per l’educazione musicale. He is professor at the Conservatory of Genoa, and he manages choral educational projects at primary schools.
