Dallapiccola and the Guitar

Florence, 28 October 2021

The eight pieces of the volume Homage to Luigi Dallapiccola. Antology of Contemporary Music for Guitar (published by Ut Orpheus and edited by Piero Bonaguri) composed by Pieralberto Cattaneo, Dario Cebic, Francesca Gambelli, Daniele Mandonico, Marco Reghezza, Marco Simoni, Alessandro Spazzoli and Andrea Vezzoli will be performed in a concert organized by the Centro Studi Dallapiccola and the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory of Music, which will be held in Florence on Thursday 28 October, 9:00 pm at the Sala del buonumore Pietro Grossi of the Conservatory of Florence (Piazza delle Belle Arti 2).

These compositions were born in the short span of a few months, between the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021, also thanks to the interest shown in this project by Mario Ruffini, an excellent scholar of Dallapiccola (to whom he dedicated important volumes) and president of the Centro Studi Luigi Dallapiccola.
